New Ford F150 getting smarter and easier - Auto Motor & Sport

class=”bgblack article-meta”> Erik Soderholm

With new technology and aluminum body, Ford has managed to slim down away over 300 pounds in the latest generation F-150, currently being showcased at Detroit salon.

Thanks to the aluminum bodywork is the Ford F-150 lighter than the previous model.

U.S. buyers love their pickup trucks , and therefore it is no wonder that Ford chose the Detroit Motor Show to show off the latest generation of America’s best-selling car : Ford F-150.

Although both the exterior and the interior received a proper update, it is under the skin that the major changes occurred. Ford has invested heavily in aluminum, which means that the new F-150 is about 320 pounds lighter than its predecessor.

addition to weight loss offers Ford F-150 on several new features that are not quite common in the pickup category: a 360-degree camera to help the driver navigate in tight spaces, integrated loading ramps, led lights front and rear, auto brake, adaptive cruise control, and Trailer Hitch Assist simplifies when the driver should connect in a trailer.

New Ford F-150 can also be ordered with a new 2.7-liter Ecoboost engine with stop / start system – but do not worry: V8 5.0 liter remains. There are also two V6 engines of 3.5 liters, which one has the turbo.
