Billion Investment in supercomputer Watson - New Technology

Three years ago struck the two champions of Jeopardy. Now, IBM is investing nearly seven billion on supercomputer Watson, which can draw their own conclusions and answer questions.

After the sensational win against two grandmasters in Jeopardy three years ago, IBM has continued to invest in supercomputer Watson. In healthcare, IBM hopes that Watson will be able to help the doctor make the right diagnosis. The system is also being tested for use by customer service at several companies.

– This is one of the greatest innovations in IBM’s history, said Stephen Gold on IBM Watson Group to Forbes magazine.

The new group already has 2,000 employees. IBM also fits on launching three new services: Discovery Advisor, Analytics, and Explorer. The first is a kind of advanced search engine. The second service will be used to quickly find relationships in large amounts of data. The third service is described as a way to facilitate the employees of a company to collaborate on large amounts of information.
