The research will focus on dental diseases, mainly tandresorption, which attacks and destroys the teeth. Researchers will measure the animals’ stress hormone associated with treatment and thus distinguish changes that are not painful and behavior that causes pain in the cat.
– It is also possible that this research will facilitate the development of new drugs for pain relief, says Ann Pettersson, Associate Professor of Dentistry at SLU, to echo.
