– We can confirm that a prisoner has been found dead at Salberga says Cathrine Soderberg on Probation press office.
Police were alerted about the incident at 8.10. Prison summoned an ambulance and doctor, but the man was pronounced dead on the spot.
The cause of death will be investigated, says Soderberg.
Salberga is one of seven Swedish prisons with the highest security class – one on a three-point scale.
