Technology giants who are hungry for Blackberry - Mobile

Canadian Blackberry has been in crisis since a long time back. The manufacturer recently announced that it plans to terminate 40 percent of its workforce – a total of 4,500 people. This after notification that the company expects a loss of almost one billion dollars in the second quarter.

the end of September came the news that BlackBerry’s main shareholder Fairfax Financial Holding has offered to run the company from the stock exchange for $ 4.7 billion, which is equivalent to about 30.4 billion Swedish kronor.

According to sources, the Blackberry now have asked other companies that may be interested in buying them to express their interest during this week.

news agency Reuters writes that Blackberry has started talks with Google, Cisco and SAP. Even Intel, LG Electronics and Samsung are said to be interested in the troubled company.

Agreement with Fairfax Financial Holding is the Blackberry freely to try to get a better offer than $ 4.7 billion up until the deadline in early November. Fairfax will then have the opportunity to outbid again.
