Kevin Barreras father, Jose Barrera, got a shock when he last week discovered pictures of her dead son’s body on Google Maps sattelitvy, writes CNN.

– When I see this picture, it’s just like it happened yesterday and it pulls up a lot of old memories, says Jose Barrera.

Google has now agreed to replace the image on Google Maps, which shows police cars and a small group of people standing over a human body in close proximity to a railway track, where the body was found by police.

An exception

Google yesterday also issued a statement in which they regret Jose Barreras discovery.

– Our sympathies go to the boy’s family. We at Google have not previously accelerated the process of replacing images of our map services but given the circumstances of the situation, we have decided to make an exception, said Brian McClendon, VP of Google Maps.

migration will take approximately eight days.

“Painful”

It’s not just the accelerated process that is an exception. Google is already well known to frequently replace the images in it at the request of individuals.

Jose Barrera can not understand why no one took away the picture even before he chose to contact Google.

– What is the point of view pictures of my dead son to the public? It’s just really painful for the whole family, says Jose Barrera.
