Apple’s surprise is an out – Swedish Dagbladet

Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled the new products in the room where company founder Steve Jobs showed off the first Mac 30 years ago. Cook then returned to the “historic” when he introduced the evening’s first launch: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

– We are now launching the biggest leap in Iphones history, he said before the models were displayed on a large screen.

Mobile screens are 4.7 and 5.5 inch, thus follow the Apple trend of increasingly larger screens. Just last week, the new giant Samsung models with screen sizes of 5.7 inches.

When it comes to performance Cook stated that the iPhone 6 has up to 50 times faster processor than the first iPhone in 2007 and the graphics are 84 times faster .

Pictures of the new models had been leaked before the launch, nor the next innovation that Cook introduced came as a surprise. Prior Speculation has centered on a new payment system in the mobile phone and Cook introduced under the name Apple Pay. The idea is that you can pay in stores by “blip” your iPhone at checkout. In terms of safety it is based on a “secure element” chip and touch id, ie fingerprints.

Tonight’s the third, and largest, the news had also occurred among pre rumors: Apple Watch, an electronic wristwatch, or a computer on the wrist if you wish.

– It is the most personal item we have ever created, Cook said, and continued with it a comprehensive “health and fitness companion.”

at 20.30 Swedish time when the presentation is still going on, Apple shares rose 1.4 percent.
