Military Police driving electric cars in a sensitive environment – New Technology

Italian Carabinieri paramilitary police equipped with 23 electric cars for patrolling in sensitive urban environments.

Mitsubishi iMiEV has a top speed of 130 km / h and a range of 10-16 mil, depending on the driving cycle counting on. The lithium ion battery is made up of 88 cells and has the capacity 16 kWh. Charging with 230 V takes about seven hours, fast charging goes on for 30 minutes.

Since its introduction in 2009, Mitsubishi sold 32,000 iMiEV around the world. In Europe, the car has also been sold as the Peugeot Ion and Citroen C-Zero.
