Here is the future of buying – New Technology

Mojang was the latest but hardly the last Swedish innovation company that bought up. The trend is continuing and now give even the Chinese big companies are out hunting.

So far this year, eight Swedish pioneering company bought. In all cases, buyers are foreign companies. Most active are the American IT giants.

– The vacuum market in search of both technology and talent. It’s a trend that will absolutely continue and now we see that Chinese players like Alibaba and Tencent are getting into the game, says Staffan Helgesson, CEO of venture capital firm Creandum.

He is not surprised that only two of the companies on Ny Teknik list of 57 bought-tech companies remain in Swedish hands.

– Big business in Sweden and Europe does not interact with the ecosystem for start-ups to any great extent. There is a big drawback, says Staffan Helgesson.

He warns that companies that do not interact with the new companies but just trust internal development may miss the new technology trends.

– It must not be about buying. It may mean that they cooperate, have partnerships, investing or forming joint ventures, says Staffan Helgesson.

Sweden – Stockholm with the tip – are often cited as an increasingly important center for the “start-ups”. It also shows Ny Teknik annual 33-list of the country’s most promising young technology companies.

Each year, applying about 200 start-ups that have come by. Of the 144 that have so far been on the 33 list has twelve bought.

Who’s turn is of course impossible to say . The music service Spotify has reportedly courted by Google, but according to the latest speculation, the company is instead heading for the exchange.

Behind Spotify are plenty of 33 companies that have come a long way with their technology on the market.

New Technology has selected ten to keep track of:

  • Accedo Broadband is growing worldwide with technology apps for your TV.
  • ArcCore selling open source software for electronics and communication in cars. Recovers a growing interest in the automotive industry.
  • Edgeware has hundreds of customers in 30 countries for its equipment to distribute television and video in broadband networks.
  • Flight Radar 24 with its blockbuster apps for keep track of the world’s air. Became even more famous in connection with the MH 370 Malaysian plane disappeared earlier this year.
  • Exeger. Stockholm Companies aiming high and with a new type of cheap solar cells.
  • iZettle aiming for continued international expansion of its mobile payment solution that makes it possible for individuals and small businesses to take payments by card.
  • Narrative. The camera that is worn on the body and that logs your life has attracted enormous attention.
  • TrueCaller. Their global telephone directory in the form of an app has users in 160 countries.
  • Neo Technology is developing a new type of database. It originally Swedish company now has headquarters in the USA, but the trend remains in Malmö.
  • AAC Microtec, experts really small electronic components for space selling well in the United States as in Japan.
