Yes to submarines and new JAS aircraft – New Technology

The Social Democrats and the Green Party is now in agreement on several defense. MP says yes to invest in more submarines and new JAS aircraft against that defense exports are tightened.

The agreement between the Social Democrats and the Green Party revealed today in DN and looks like this:

MP folds and joins the conclusions in defense preparation. It means that now supports more new JAS aircraft built.

The party has previously in defense preparation been opposed to investing in 70 new fighter aircraft model Jas 39 Gripen E, instead of 60 as the parliament said yes to. It has required more analysis and noted a risk that the new Jas system becomes a cuckoo which can erode other defense resources.

MP says also yes to invest in even a submarine.

MP is also in discussions in preparation reluctant to modernize a third submarine in Gotland class, so the Swedish submarine fleet in the future may consist of five submarines. But is said to be on the train.

The proposals were developed in defense preparation, which of course was pushed through by the Alliance together with S.

Social Democrat group leader Mikael Damberg says to DN:

– It is reasonable to Sweden goes ahead and tighten export rules for arms deliveries because we have had such problems in this area.

It is also agreed that Sweden will not be a member of NATO. Instead, we want the security built from “increased Nordic cooperation, an active Sea policy, cooperation in the EU and a stronger United Nations,” the MP’s website.

S and MP also agree to a tough question. It now proposes to freeze the construction of the motorway to Stockholm bypass in May 2015 According to the MP’s spokesperson Åsa Romson create space for a pause for thought.
