Here is the new Mazda Miata – New Technology

25-year-old sports car, the Mazda MX-5 Miata will now have its fourth facelift towards one million sales.

The launch took place simultaneously in several locations around the world, and Mazda showed a small sports car that the new bottling has been 100 kg lighter, 105 mm shorter, 10 mm wider and 10 mm lower.

Aluminum has been used in several body panels, LEDs are in the fixtures front and rear.

The car has been developed together with Fiat, which originally asked Mazda to build a version that would be sold as Alfa Romeo. But then changed his Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne – a genuine Alfa Romeo has to be made in Italy. In contrast, we are likely to see a Miata with the emblem of Fiat or Abarth eventually.

Mazda took 25 years ago over baton for small , affordable two-seater sports cars, then mainly the British car industry collapsed and classic MG, Lotus, Triumph and Austin disappeared from the market.

The small Japanese sports car was a success, as fun to drive as the British predecessors, and far more reliable. Until this summer have 940,000 copies produced, allowing the car to the most produced two-seater sports car ever.

When the show was Mazda’s representatives very reticent about any mechanical innovations. Most likely is the same 2-liter engine, and which options a 1.5-liter, as in the previous generation. With lower weight and center of gravity gets the car even more alert.

The model will go on sale until spring 2015, and is likely to be the generation that takes Miata over one million.
