Climbers rescued from mountain shelf – Metro – Metro

Two climbers who took the wrong way down from Norway’s third highest mountain Store Skagastølstind, which is 2405 meters, have been rescued from the ledge near the top where they got stuck, reports Bergens Tidende.

The alarm of the two distressed women came to the police at 19 o’clock on Saturday night. A räddningspådrag including helicopters were drawn in time to rescue the climbers. The helicopters were eventually forced to turn back because of cloud cover and instead got alpine climbers deployed.

Around midnight, they reached out to those in distress to have been unharmed.

– Klättergruppen strikes and keep on helping the women. They must wear harnesses and are helped to secure the land, said the rescue Bjorn Magnussen to NRK.
