Focus afterwards with new technology | Camera & Photo – Camera & Photo

The technology, which Panasonic is called Post-focus, is made possible by using 4K filming. With Post-focus pictures are taken in a series of 30 images per second. Using a autofocus technique called DPD (Depth from defocus) placed sharpness of up to fifty different points in the image. The idea is then that the photographer should be able to point to the image on the camera’s screen to choose where the focus should sit and save the new image separately. So very much more detailed information about the technology is not yet available.

Post-Focus comes with a software update to the recently launched GX8 and FZ300 at the end of 2015 and then regularly during 2016 for the other models.
