More digital technology in education – Vasterbotten Courier

The Government wants teachers in primary and secondary schools to become better at using digital technology in teaching. Therefore, the National Agency for Education to propose how it should be done.

The assignment also includes looking at how technology can facilitate teachers’ administrative work, writes Dagens Nyheter.

– One thing that steals a lot of time is the computer system that is not working. This should be supported in the uploading of working to give teachers and principals more time to its main mission, says Education Minister Gustav Fridolin (MP) to the newspaper.

Fridolin hope that the effort, which is a part of Government’s national school development program will bridge the digital divide in school.

The Agency has indicated that the availability of computers has increased sharply for both teachers and students, but more computers have not led to ICT being used more in education.
