In the same village saw the witnesses last year a man – before he disappeared without a trace.

– It has been there so long that it is currently impossible to establish an identity, says Peter Drake at police in the regional center.

A man was out hunted in a forest outside Torsåker in Gästrikland when he came across a human skeleton.

– I was out on tracking and looking for wild boar at 08: 30 o’clock in the morning when I saw the bones, he says to Aftonbladet.

The hunter called the police, who now have technologies in place in the forest.

– It has been reported to the police that a finding has been made outside Torsåker said Peter Drake, spokesman for the police in regional center.

– Initially, it seems that it is the remains of a dead man. But the bones appear to have been there a long time, so right now it is not possible to establish more than that.

A 30-year-old man missing in the area

On July 24 last year disappeared a man without a trace in the area. Two witnesses had on the day of the disappearance seen him in Torsåker.

Can it be that the body remained in the woods for a year?

– One more time is so long that it is impossible to eyes establish some kind of identity, but it is the remnants of the character, says Peter Drake.

The missing man’s family is notified of the find, but even the police not received any indication that it would have anything to do with him.

– We have prepared for various scenarios, says Peter Drake.

– Because we have not received any signs that it would be about him so we do not want to go into more details about this finding, but it may well be necessary at a later stage.

According to the police, there is no indication that any crime has been committed.
