Martin Linner, 21, was about to fall asleep when he suddenly felt an intense heat next to the bed.

There stood his mobile charger in flames.

– Just a few minutes later the whole house was in flames, he said.

It was early in the morning as Martin Linner felt a warmth beside her bed. He lay in bed in his apartment in Lilla Edet and was just about to fall asleep. Before he went to bed, he had put his Samsung phone on charge using the phone quick charger.

– I was going to turn around and go back to sleep, but I realized that something was wrong. When I looked over at the wall, I see that it is burning from the wall outlet where fast charger sits, he said.

“Went damn fast”

The fire had already spread, and Martin burned off handsomely in foothills when he unsuccessfully tried to smother the fire with his foot.

His next thought was to bring the neighbors.

– I called on but he did not open, then I went around and checked through the window. He lay on the couch and sleep with headphones on so I had to wrap the box in order to wake him up.

Martin and neighbors could jointly take out from the smoke-filled building. They called the fire department. Martin then ran home to some relatives in the area and picked up a fire extinguisher, but it was too late.

– When was the house almost burned. It was damn fast.

Police “launched a preliminary investigation”

After another moment arrived in the emergency and could soon get control of the fire.

– Fixed then it was all already ruined. I own nothing right now, says Martin Linner.

Despite the extensive material damage Martin Linner still grateful that it was not worse.

– Someone had been burning inside or seriously injured.

The police opened fire after an investigation into the assault.

– That’s right, it’s an investigation commenced. Two apartments were completely destroyed in the fire. We will carry out a technical examination early in the week so we’ll see where it leads. But at present it seems that it can move on a mobile charger, says Mattias Hasselström, internal officers of the police in Trollhättan.

Martin Linner is during the day, several hours after the morning fire, still upset.

– One thing is for sure. I will never download any cell phone at night, he said.
