Anders Borg and his fans - Aftonbladet

Fredrik Reinfeldt was not gracious in their criticism. The Social Democrats had grown together with the state. It would not happen again. “We want to make the appointment policy from scratch,” promised the aspiring prime minister in the election campaign of 2006.

Even Anders Borg held head high. The transparency of fiscal policy would increase. Expert knowledge, no member of a party, would govern.

the first period after the 2006 election, it seemed that the Borg meant what he said. Borg founded the Fiscal Policy Council, which would evaluate fiscal policy. And 2007 was restarted Expert Group

in Public Economics (ESO) as the Social Democrats abolished during protests from civil sources.

President of ESO, Lars Heikensten, S-marked former Governor. Bourgeois wrote editorials tribute articles to the modern finance minister.

“With the election of Mr. Heikensten will make it harder for the opposition to claim that ESO delivers custom orders than if Anders Borg has a Chairman with bourgeois profile,” cheered Dagens Industri.

A couple of weeks ago, a new release of ESO from the Treasury Department. This time came the accolades for Anders Borg’s integrity.

New Head of ESO’s namely Hans Lindblad, who is so far from “independent”

relative to Anders Borg as we possibly can. Lindblad has been deputy director of the Moderate Party Parliamentary Secretariat and six years Secretary of the Treasury. He’s Anders Borg’s loyal sidekick, a moderate super politruk.

The press release did not say anything about that. In contrast to Borg believed that Hans Lindblad would be good to combine “policy relevant questions with independent analysis.”

Independent? Well, serve.

Hans Lindblad chefar not only of ESO, but was appointed last year to the Director General of the Swedish National Debt Office, one of the heaviest authorities. The Tax Office, as well as the National Debt Office comes under the Ministry of Finance, control Hansson, also a former Secretary to the Borg. And when the Social Democrats Magdalena Andersson stepped off that Hansson’s Director General, replacing her with Helena Dyrssen, which admittedly is Liberal, but formerly close colleague of Mr Borg.

Swedish management model based on independent authority. Today, therefore, the heads of the Treasury’s two heaviest authorities were party workers for the Alliance – and a close associate of Mr Borg.

Fiscal Policy Council has the critical Lars Calmfors replaced with the milder Lars Jonung, former economic adviser to Carl Bildt and colleague Anders Borg

in the Prime Minister.

Also ties to the independent Riksbank is to say the least intimate.

Governor Executive sits today Per Jansson, another of Borg’s former secretary of state. As the successor to the outspoken and self Permanent Lars EO Svensson discussed Susanne Ackum, which today is State Secretary to – you guessed it, Anders Borg.

The government has no control over appointments to the General Executive Board, but will Ackum appointed a third of the people who set interest rates recently had the country’s finance minister as line manager.

Many of the people that surround Anders Borg is certainly competent. It’s not what is in question. Without what happens with integrity and exercise of power when bands get too intimate and small circles. When the overall impression is that the Finance Minister has a group of supporters around himself, rather than independent professionals.

“We have received a state where the party card into practice is essential for anyone wanting to make a career of the senior positions in the civil service,” wrote the Alliance

in a report-before-election in 2006. There were not many people realized that it would in fact be read as an election promise.
