Toyota's most valuable automotive brand - leading automobile

Toyota overtakes BMW in the top of the U.S. market research firm Millward Brown’s annual top ten list of the automotive industry’s most valuable brands.

Millward Brown estimates that Toyota’s brand since last year increased 12 percent in value to over $ 24.5 billion, equivalent to about 163 billion.

Meanwhile, last year one BMW brand dropped two percent in value and is now valued at approximately $ 24 billion. Behind Toyota and BMW are also three German and three Japanese brands in the top ten most highly valued.

Millward Brown explains Toyota’s first place with the company strongly associated with hybrid vehicles, and Toyota’s car sales rose 22.6 percent in 2012.

Recently, leading automobile reporting on business magazine Forbes list of the world’s strongest brands. The list was topped BMW, followed by Toyota and Mercedes.
