To celebrate the event held Apple has listed the top 50 most downloaded apps of all time.

Unsurprisingly tops a certain Finnish games pay list.

Apple is approaching 50 billion downloaded apps by leaps and bounds. It has now set up a timer on the website that shows how one approaches the unimaginable figure at a record pace. At this writing it stands at 49.2 billion.

Just six games

As an additional part of the celebration is the technology company also shared its two lists of the 25 most downloaded free and beta patches of all time. Free list dominated by programs as Facebook (1), Instagram (3) and YouTube (4). First, in sixth place pops up the first game, “Words with friends”, the American equivalent to “Wordfeud”. In total, there are only six games on free list.

“Angry Birds” dominate

But when it comes to pay list, it is a completely different story, it is dominated almost exclusively by the game. “Angry Birds” has appropriated the first place, and in fact, three additional versions of the game are on the list. The other top games are “Fruit Ninja” (2) “Doodle Jump” (3) and “Cut the rope” (4), while the Swedish super hit “Minecraft” has to settle for a twenty-third place.
