Rapid head replacements for Sailfish Debut - Electronics Magazine - Elektroniktidningen

Jolla was founded by a group of Nokia engineers who helped to produce the acclaimed operating system Meego, the newly developed operating system that Nokia abandoned when aligned himself fully with Microsoft.

Meego just came out a few Nokia devices, including Nokia N9. In September 2011, Nokia down all further development of MeeGo.

Barely a year later formed companies Jolla is now further developed and launched Meego operating system Sailfish.

It goes away in Jolla, especially on management posts. The first CEO Jussi Hurmola went last fall over in a strategic role in the development of the Sailfish.

He was replaced by Marc Dillon, who is one of the driving forces in Sailfish Developments.

Now leave Dillon president of the company to become a formal head of software development, which he never really left.

Instead Jolla recruited Tomi Pienimäki, former technical director of logistics company Itella, as the new President for the upcoming launch of Jolla’s first smart mobile which is expected to come later in May

Cell Phone built in China and will be sold in the Chinese mobile phone distributor D.Phone and Finnish mobile operator DNA.
