Swedish forest can drive the cars - Aftonbladet

class=”abCity”> Stockholm. Sweden could become self-sufficient in biofuels by producing methanol and dme of forest resources. The conclusion drawn by researchers in a report by the Royal Academy of Sciences (KVA), Dagens Nyheter.

In one study, the researchers write that dme (a gaseous fuel for diesel engines) and methanol (wood alcohol) could in principle replace today’s gasoline and diesel.

Danish scientists last year drew similar conclusions.
